Officer in Civvies

The life of a soldier at a civilian university.

About

Who am I? I believe this is a question that Philosophers have asked themselves for many years. But fortunately I am not a Philosophy major. I am an Officer in the Canadian forces. My trade is Communication and Electronics Engineer. My current task right now is to acquire a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Computing Science. This is what I am currently doing.

But being in the military, just going to school is not my life. Being in Computing Science does not make me a nerd, just look, I am in the military. After the military, if I ever choose to leave, I think I would want to be an Astronaut with the Canadian Space Agency. I am also working on a minor in Criminology. I do not know exactly why, I like the material, so that is probably it. If I was not in the military I would probably still be in Computing Science, or in Archaeology and try and become a Paleontologist.

I am fairly active. I am a varsity rower on the rowing team at my university. This is fun, we compete but we do not have a lot of money so we don’t get to do as much as the Clan teams at uni. We still are able to beat many major universities.

I love to read, I love to watch movies and occasionally I like to play games, like Spore and Rock Band. I also love to travel. This summer I went all over North America from Seattle, Southern California, Mexico, New York and Montreal.

I like watching sports too. During the summer I like to watch baseball and I consider myself a Yankees fan. During the winter is Hockey and I am an avid Canuck fan.
