I Run New York

Posted by officerincivvies on June 22, 2008

I have been working on my New York trip lately and now I have gotten all of the major stuff figured out, now I just got to work on the minor detail of what I am going to do there.

I finish BOTP on 15 August so I am going to take a taxi to Montreal where I will stay in a hotel for the night. Hopefully they will let me leave a suitcase, kit bag or both for a few days while I am in NY as I don’t want to lug that around the city.

The next morning I have to walk a couple blocks down to Gare Centrale where I will take the train on the 16th of August from Montreal to NY. I leave around 9:00 am and the train ride is about 11 hours. I will definitely need a good book, some sudoku puzzles and a charged DS for the ride.

When I arrive at Penn Station in NY I will walk a few blocks to the Soldier, Seamen, Marine and Airmen Club where I will be staying.

I will be using the train and walking as my main form of transportation. The subway is definitely very fast, for example to get from Midtown to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx only takes 25 minutes.

On the afternoon of the 17th I will be taking the subway up to Yankee Stadium to see the Yankees vs the Kansas City Royals. I will be in the bleacher seats which cost about 1/10th of a Canuck ticket.

On the night of the 19th, my last night in NY I am going to see the broadway show Spamalot.

The next morning I take the train back from Penn Station up to Montreal where I will stay in the same hotel. In the morning I take a taxi where I fly home to Vancouver. That gives me most of the 21st to get to Chilliwack, pack up all my stuff for rez and then on the 22nd, move into Rez for Rez-O.

Good Luck, Bad Luck

Everything about this story is just ridiculous. In the words of Cory, “I do not care how old you are, that’s retarded.”
